The Wallraff-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud is based on the collection of scientist Ferdinand Franz Wallraff (1748-1824). Since 2001, the museum has been housed in a new building by architect Oswald Mathias Ungers. The Wallraff-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud is one of the great classical art galleries in Germany. Its collection contains works from the Middle Ages, the Baroque Era, right through to the 19th century. For the Wallraff-Richartz-Museum, Pieter Roozen produced the book Tierschau, the German edition of Beestachtig mooi (see exhibitions / Van Gogh Museum / Beestachtig mooi).
