Butterflies are not only to be found flying around nature areas, but also over road verges, parks and gardens. Therefore, the Vlinderstichting (Butterfly Foundation) dedicates itself to improving the quality of all green spaces for the benefit of butterflies and dragonflies. The foundation deploys a variety of strategies to inform and educate the public, which include teaching eco-friendly gardening, promoting a sound management of public green spaces, developing teaching materials for primary schools (with real butterflies!), and holding lectures and exhibitions.
