Pieter Roozen studied Landscape Architecture (Agricultural University of Wageningen), Psychology and Philosophy (University of Amsterdam), and Graphic Design (Rietveld Academy, with Jan van Toorn). From 1981, he worked as a freelance designer for, among others, Dutch TV, a number of arts publications and the Holland Festival (1992-94). He has taught at the Arts Academies of Utrecht, Den Bosch and Kampen. He compiled the Graphic Design course plan for the Minerva Academy in Groningen. From 1994 to 2010, Pieter Roozen has been the museum’s in-house designer, being responsible for its logo and house style, as well as designing a great number of publications, campaigns and special exhibitions.
